Study Options For Child Psychology

Hi I'm taking my GCSE options in a few weeks and was wondering what I should take to give me the best chance of becoming a child psychologist? I would like to do more of the counselling side of psychology as I take a great interest with this and children and families. I know its a bit early but I want to be ready for when I take my A levels and give myself the best start. Thank you.
