I have the impression that the first and second generation of psychoanalysts had political aims. They were Europeans. In the United States, psychoanalysis is not a sociocultural movement but a business.
While I do not expect to find many others who would enjoy revitalizing psychoanalysis, I hope to either remind or acquaint others with the early attitude of members of the movement.
