I would like to know the difference between an occupational psychologist and an occupational therapist in terms of educational qualifications, duties and responsibilities.
Occupational Psychology vs Occupational Health by: Katy
Hi
I would like to know what the difference is between Occupational Psychology and Occupational Health?
From working in a private organisation I have developed an interest in pursuing Occupational Psychology and have become aware of using an Occupational Health service as a referral for long-term sickness absence.
Is the occupational health service in Occupational Psychology, or are they not related?
I would so grateful for your feedback. Thanks

Distinct Disciplines by: David
Hi Elizebath
Occupational therapy and occupational psychology are distinct disciplines.
Occupational therapy is a very specific health based job concerned with the assessment and treatment of physical and psychiatric conditions.
Occupational psychology is primarily concerned with performance and psychological wellbeing in the workplace.
